River Circle is a circle of friends dedicated to bring love, healing and enlightenment to our community.

You are most welcome to come to our monthly drumming circles where we beat drums and shake rattles to celebrate our connectedness to Mother Earth and each other.

We also sponsor full moon fire ceremonies, journey drumming, meditation, earth lodges, book talks and a series of workshops in the principles of core shamanism and spiritual energy work.

Our members are seekers, finding their own direct connection to the Divine. Individuals are free to explore different belief systems and practices, and share them with our facilitated groups. Some, but not all, of our groups share an interest in core shamanism.

Core shamanism is based on the belief that all things have spirit energy and that we are all connected. A shamanistic worldview sees and understands the sacredness of all life. Core shamanism is a synthesis of what is fundamental to shamanism from all cultures. Journeying, a form of mediation, enables one to access spiritual information and healing for the higher good of the individual and of others.

However, if you are new to journey drumming or earth lodge, please contact the faciliator in charge before your first meeting. They are listed on the "About Us" page.

Our journey in life is guided by free will and Spirit. The Divine energy of the Creator surrounds us with love, giving us the posiblitity for healing and transforming our lives to become true to our Higher Self.
New location Because Black Hawk Park is closed, Drum Circle will meet at 2 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month at The Center for Living, 2008 4th Ave., Rock Island, Ill.

Come 15 minutes early to get smudged and settle in. Bring a drum, rattle, something symbolic for the altar, and a story to share.
